Yankee Deal Less About Frazier More About Pitching

I’ll start off by saying as a Rutgers alum and a jersey sports addict, I’m a big fan of Todd Frazier. However Frazier, who has gotten most of the press in last week’s deal with the White Sox, will not be the difference in the AL East. The multi player trade where the Yankees gave up young prospect Blake Rutherford, was more about bolstering the bullpen than bringing in Frazier.

Fortunes Turn In June For Rutgers Football

In May, Rutgers Football was languishing at the bottom of the BIG 10 in recruiting for 2018. They had two, yes two, commits while most of the teams in the conference were in double digits. While the Spring is early for the recruiting process, RU fans who watch closely were still a little concerned. And the questions, once again, began to creep to the back of the mind.  Will this turnaround happen? Can Chris Ash lead this program?   

But along came June and now fans can breath a little easier on the banks. With the beginning of Summer, we saw a big jump in commitments to the program. When Avery Young, a 3 star cornerback from Coatesville, Pennsylvania committed June 30th, that made 10 verbal commitments for the month. Now RU is ranked 11th in the conference and 48th nationally.
