So last week, due to time restrictions, I wasn’t able to give my picks. A sad, dark day indeed. But we’re back. My tally is 13-15 thus far. So, I picked up one game in the standings from two weeks ago. Like Bill Belichick, I get better as the season progresses. I coach up my boys, mumble some profanities, and win, win, win.

As the year moves, you get a better key on what teams are all about. I’m going at least .500 for the year. Mark my words. But if it doesn’t happen….Well, then I’ll never acknowledge it.

Consider this, the Cleveland Indians beat the Yankees in the playoffs in 1997, then again in 2007. Aaron Judge was 15 years old then and Gary Sanchez was just 14 years of age in ’07. The only current homegrown Yankee close to being on the roster back then is Brett Gardner who made his MLB debut a year later in 2008. It is 10 years later and Yankee fans are hoping for a different outcome in 2017.

Week Four of the NFL season featured more of what we’ve come to expect: Parity. We’re only four weeks into the season and have just one remaining undefeated team. That being the Chiefs, who are 4-0 atop the AFC West.

But that’s the beauty of the NFL. Unlike the NBA where the pundits are virtually never wrong, with football, the pundits are virtually never right.
