Rutgers Lacrosse has had an impressive spring with both the women’s and men’s teams making the NCAA tournament. The women took care of their first round opponent St. Joe’s 17-7 Friday night and then dropped a tight second round match with #8 Stony Brook 11-7 Sunday afternoon.

Rutgers men had a dominant performance vs. Harvard on Sunday night in front of a near capacity crowd at Yurcak Field in the opening round of the NCAA tournament.
Early in the game, it seemed as though it would be a walk in the park for Rutgers who jumped out to a 6-1 lead, but Harvard scored 3 consecutive goals and Rutgers went into the half only up 7-5.
It was all Rutgers in the second half. Led by 7 goals from Ross Scott who ended up with 8 for the game, the Scarlet Knights rolled to a 19-9 win.
The Scarlet Knights move on to the second round and draw #3 Penn this Saturday in Long Island at Hofstra University.
