To say the series is lopsided is an understatement. In 27 meetings between Rutgers and Penn State, the Scarlet Knights have won just once in 1988 at Penn State 21-16.
Since joining the Big 10 they are 0-9 and have not scored more than 10 points in any of those matchup. Rutgers did come vey close in 2014 losing 13-10 in a tough fought game in Piscataway.
Fortunes do not look like they will change this year. Rutgers has been in all of their games this season including last week in Iowa where it was a one score game in the 4th quarter before it fell apart. They head into Beaver Stadium a 20.5 underdog.
However, with six wins there is much to be positive about with the program. A bowl bid awaits regardless of the results of the last two games.
Though a 7th win is much more likely at home vs Maryland than this week at Happy Valley.
Kickoff is at 12pm Saturday on FS1.
