What does it say about the sports juice in the Big Yapple blender when the two biggest items of the week are a convention of people not saying too much for four days in Vegas, and who is newly enshrined at a museum located near The Otesaga Resort Hotel?
Let’s first travel to Sin City (Btw…this has now become THE sports mecca…NBA was in early with league meetings and summer league…then the Golden Knights, here come the Raiders…and the Rays are not getting a new park in Tampa….can you get me Wayne Newton to throw out the first pitch in 2022?…but I digress). The baseball machine has been grinding 11 months of the year for a long time (January is my dead month, in case you asked). The loooong season, the playoffs, the World Series, the GM meetings, the post-season awards…and then the league meetings, where it’s gotten so big…even Marlins Man showed up! Where’s Manny going, what about Harper, Mets may trade Thor to who…the Yankees???? And the countless who needs what, how many years, how much money…and throughout the four days of wall to wall…did we actually find out anything before it happened? Not really, but the level of angst and anticipation, disappointment and diversion, orations and summations… and I’m just talking about the Uber drivers!!! (Best thing I saw…Mad Dog and LaRussa on ‘High Heat’…not only for the content…but look at the new doo on the host…surprised .@andrewmarchand missed that gem!
And at the end of the day…Mets brought back an alum…the Yanks signed a 36-year old pitcher…and Joe Kelly and Charlie Morton left Boston and Houston.
That’s baseball, Suzyn.

So Steph thought the moon landing was staged. No biggie…he also thought that Vince could actually fly!
Raptors lose in Borough Park…then whip KD and the boys…in Oakland…say hello to my little friends at FanDuel!!!
My apologies to the creative marvels behind ‘Ray Donovan’…for thinking the shark had finally jumped on Ray’s expensive suits…no worries…back in the water!
How beautiful that The Birdman had the call for the ‘Miracle in Miami’….posterity!
