Tuesday night. Big night. Red states. Blue states. Who’s in the (Big) House…how many new (Ottawa) Senators…CNN…Fox News…MSNBC…NBC…CBS…ABC…how many letters in the alphabet do we need to watch in peace? So I listened to Bill Maher, who said he relieves the stress of the political climate….by watching “in-season basketball”! How about that? In-season basketball…can I rewind the last 40 years of my life? But why go backwards…because there was another alphabet list to ponder on Tuesday…ESPN…where we were treated to the Big D…a lot of O…and cue Mr. Rodgers….can you say ‘Z’ boys and girls?
Oh man, what a display. Now, in the spirit of Law and Order ( Btw…highly underrated for content and sustainability…the ‘Bonanza’ of he said/she said…but I digress). Cal may have shined the light on one and done, but Coach K has gone Stephen Hawking on the rest of the NCAA. Barrett, Reddish, Jones…and the biggest Z since Zo was tormenting South Beach. There are certain players that have the Q rating, the sizzle, the swagger, the ‘it’. He may not at the end of the day be the best of the group. But he’s the one you make time, space and money to see play.
Who does he remind you of? Barkley? Randle? Anthony Mason? Forget it. Whomever you discuss may resemble the Big Z in one facet…but not in all three. He can shoot from downtown…he can work low…he can elevate…and oh yes, he can pass. How about the two-handed bounce pass on the run to a streaking teammate for the score? It’s amazing how in this era of ‘Three’s Company’, the pass still gets the fans to join in unison…that’s basketball! And Z has all the components. Man against boys. Pray for good health. No dozing allowed. Worth the caffeine.
I just saw a huge fish tank being wheeled into the Hawks locker room.

Cal has not looked so forlorn on the bench since he was yelling at Kerry back in the day at the CAA.
Yankees re-upped with Gardner and CC…what…Cecil Fielder and Jimmy Key weren’t available?
I don’t know who’s more upset with Eli’s slide from prominence…Giant fans…or Dunkin’ Donuts.
If the new Knick hierarchy can land a stud in the off season, Nobody Beats the Fiz will gesticulate, congratulate and captivate the media and the fans in the Big Yapple.
Yankee fans have demanded that the Cash-Man sign Machado, Harper, Kimbrel, Keuchel, Smoltz, Glavine and Maddox.
